In 1881 our building was constructed at the west end of Main St. near the confluence of the North and South forks of the St. Vrain River.  From this point, the fork in the road leads through either the South St. Vrain River Canyon or the North St. Vrain River Canyon up into the Rocky Mountains and Estes Park.  At that time the place was known as The McAllister Saloon.
